GREEN BEVERAGES BOLSTERS PRESENCE IN EUROPE WITH LAUNCH IN CROATIA

Important milestone in Green Beverages Group’s international expansion strategy follows period of significant strategic progress

16 November 2022: Green Beverages Group, the fast-growing innovator of premium and better-for-you beverage brands, is delighted to announce it has launched in Croatia in partnership with Orbico Group, one of Europe’s largest distributors.

Headquartered in Athens, Green Beverages provides a diverse range of preservative, aspartame, and sugar-free, colas, water, flavoured sodas and mocktails. In 2012, the Group launched Green Cola – one of the first cola products on the market to be low in calories, sweetened by stevia and caffeinated by green coffee beans. Green Beverages-owned mineral water, Zagori, is the number one brand in the Greek bottled water market by volume and value.

Its launch in Croatia represents a significant milestone in its international expansion strategy, which is aiming to strengthen the Group’s position within existing markets and launch into attractive new markets such as Croatia. Rounding off a period of significant strategic progress, Green Beverages—via its UK licensee Green Room Brands—also recently secured a listing with Sainsbury’s in the UK, its first with a major UK grocery retailer. In addition to Croatia, Green Beverages will look to leverage additional opportunities within Orbico Group’s extensive European distribution network, which spans more than 20 countries across the continent, to further accelerate its growth.

Periklis Venieris, CEO of Green Beverages Group, said: “We are delighted to launch in Croatia and partner with Orbico Group, a highly respected distributor within the region.  This is an important milestone in our mission to provide better-for-you beverages to consumers around the world, and will provide a strong foundation for us to further expand our position across Southeast Europe over the medium-term.”

Dimitris Metaxas, Business Development Director for Green Cola in Southeast Europe, said: “With a growing cohort of consumers seeking healthier alternatives, as well as a booming travel and tourism industry welcoming millions of holidaymakers each year, Croatia is a really exciting market that will enable us to significantly increase brand awareness. We look forward to introducing our portfolio of high-quality products and brands to consumers in the months ahead.”
